Pitcher Rob Dibble was signed as a 1st round pick (secondary phase) in the 1983 amateur draft by the Cincinnati Reds and scout Mickey White.
Along with Randy Myers and Norm Charlton, Dibble was part of the Reds' "Nasty Boys" bullpen trio in 1990 and 1991. Currently works on the Best Damn Sports Show on Fox as well as hosts an afternoon talk show with Kevin Kennedy on XM Satellite Radio Channel 175. Also serves as color analyst for Washington Nationals broadcasts on MASN television Network in Washington, DC.
- A broken bone in his left forearm lost him 5 weeks of the 1993 season.
- He threw a fastball that sometimes reached 100 miles per hour and a slider that came in at around 90 miles per hour.
- In 1989, he set a major league record by averaging 12.8 strikeouts per nine innings.

Dibble holds the single-season record for saves by a player who did not lead his team. In 1992 he saved 25 games for the Reds, while Norm Charlton saved 26.
