[edit] Biographical Information

Eldon "Rip" Repulski is best known for his play with the St. Louis Cardinals, but he won his only World Series ring as a backup with the 1959 Dodgers. He was also on the Boston Red Sox in 1960 during Ted Williams' last season and in 1961 during Carl Yastrzemski's first season. He is one of 20 players to have been a teammate of both Stan Musial and Williams.

He went to Sauk Rapids High School. He was at St. Cloud State University in 1946. He started his professional career during the first season of the Illinois State League, playing for West Frankfort and leading the league in home runs.

He hit nearly 100 minor league home runs before making his major league debut in 1953.
