Pitcher Rich Buonantony was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 14th round of the 1980 amateur draft. On October 24, 1983, Buonantony became the player to be named later when the Cubs sent him to the Milwaukee Brewers to complete a trade back on April 1, 1983 for Steve Lake. He stayed in the minors through 1991, spending 1986-1988 and par of 1990 in AAA, but never made the majors.
