Rich Barnes had one win and one save in his major league career. The save came on August 3, 1982 as a member of the Chicago White Sox. He pitched the last 3 innings of a 14-3 win over the New York Yankees, giving up 2 hits, 0 runs, and striking out 1. Richard Dotson was the winner. His only win came on September 1, 1983 as a member of the Cleveland Indians. He pitched 6 and 1/3 innings in relief of Rick Sutcliffe, giving up 6 hits, 1 earned run, walking 5 and striking out 1. He pitched into the 9th inning and Bud Anderson was brought in to get the save. The final was Indians 8, Red Sox 6.
He does not appear on his only Major League baseball card, #608 in the 1984 Donruss set; instead, the picture featured on the card is mistakenly that of Neal Heaton.
