[edit] Biographical Information
Shortstop Rey Quinones of the Boston Red Sox homered in his first major league game in 1986. Months later, he was included in a trade to the Seattle Mariners that brought Spike Owen and Dave Henderson to Boston. With the Mariners, he demonstrated great defensive skills but also showed inconsistency both on and off the field. In early 1989, he was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates, but he only hit .209 and was released several months later.
