Reggie Grabowski was one of major league baseball's earliest Reggies. There have been nearly 20 Reggies (through 2009), and Grabowski was # 2 after Reggie Richter.
Grabowski pitched for the Philadelphia Phillies from 1932-34. His best year was 1933 when he had an ERA of 2.44.
Reggie, who was born and died in Syracuse, NY, pitched for Syracuse in 1935, 1938-39 and 1943-45.
In 1933 with Wilkes-Barre and Reading, he went 17-5.
In an unfortunate game on August 4, 1934, Reggie gave up 11 hits in the ninth inning to the New York Giants.
