The Regensburg Legionäre is a team in Bundesliga. They won their first title in 2008 thanks to three players who had minor league experience after starting their careers in Regensburg - Rodney Gessmann, Donald Lutz and Ludwig Glaser; in addition, Mike Bolsenbroek had pitched for Regensburg before playing in the minors but had US college experience as well. They won a second title in 2010, with a similar cast; Klaus Hopfensperger was MVP of the finals that year. In 2011 and 2012, they won again.
