[edit] Biographical Information
Red Borom played in 1944-45 with the Detroit Tigers. He appeared in two games of the 1945 World Series.
Borom is the subject of a SABR biography. He played many years of semi-pro and minor league ball, starting in 1934 and finishing in 1954. Outside of baseball he ran a steak house, worked for the post office, worked for Plymouth Oil, and then was in the trucking business for many years.
He managed at Baton Rouge in 1949 and was a player-coach at Fort Worth in 1950.
