Donald Ray Tanner, Jr.
- Born March 25, 1958 in Smithfield, NC USA
Ray Tanner played infield at NC State from 1977 to 1980. He was an assistant at his alma mater from 1981 to 1987. Tanner was the head coach from 1988 to 1996. He has been baseball coach at the University of South Carolina since 1997. Since then, he has led the team to the College World Series three times and was named the 2000 Baseball America Coach of the Year.
