[edit] Biographical Information
Ray Mack, one of the best major leaguers to come out of Case Western Reserve University, played nine years in the major leagues. He was on the All-Star team in 1940, a year in which he hit 12 home runs with a .283 average, and a year in which the Cleveland Indians went 89-65. His double-play combo partner was the 22-year-old Lou Boudreau.
Mack entered the Army in April 1945 and was discharged in November 1945.
