Ray Goolsby played in the Florida League during the war and went into the Army. In 1946 he was given a chance with the Senators and had an impressive spring training, but only appeared in four regular season games without a hit.
Ray also played for Chattanooga in 1946.
According to the book Textile League Baseball, he played in the Central Carolina League.
