Ray Corbin's entire professional baseball career was with the Minnesota Twins. He was signed as a free agent in 1967, and moved his way up the Twins' minor league organization from 1967-70. After playing in Double A ball in 1970 and posting a 2.86 ERA, he made the major league team in 1971 without ever pitching in Triple A.
His five years with the Twins were as a reliever and spot starter. He appeared in 181 games total, of which 63 were as a starter. In 1973, when he was used mostly as a reliever, he had 14 saves.
