Hennis also pitched for the Tucson Toros in 1990 and 1991.
After his playing days he became a pitching coach for the GCL Marlins (1995), Brevard County Manatees (1996-1997), Charlotte Knights (1998), and the Calgary Cannons (1999) . One source says he was on the bench when the Florida Marlins won the 2003 World Series.
