[edit] Biographical Information
Randy Hennis was a dominant pitcher during his brief time in the majors. He pitched 9 2/3 innings, giving up no runs and only one hit. His three appearances were at the end of the 1990 season with the 1990 Houston Astros. He was the same age as the team's 24-year-old catcher, Craig Biggio.
Hennis also pitched for Tucson in 1990-91.
Hennis was at UCLA at the same time as Jeff Conine, Todd Zeile, and and Eric Karros.
After his playing days he became a pitching coach for the Brevard County Manatees and the Calgary Cannons. One source says he was on the bench when the Florida Marlins won the 2003 World Series.
