Pitcher Randy Bockus was signed by the San Francisco Giants and scout Marty Miller as the 34th Round pick of the 1982 amateur draft. In 1985, with the Shreveport Captains, he led the Texas League in ERA (2.73), wins (14), and innings pitched (201).
