Randolph Oduber won a minor league MVP.
Oduber was picked by the San Francisco Giants in the 48th round of the 2009 amateur draft and by the Washington Nationals in the 32nd round of the 2010 amateur draft. He split the summer of 2010 between the GCL Nationals (.366/.434/.569, 38 R in 39 G, 18 SB, 1 CS) and Hagerstown Suns (2 for 26, 2B, 10 BB). He led the Gulf Coast League in average (37 points ahead of Ramon Flores), slugging (88 points ahead of Flores) and OPS (85 points ahead of Flores). He was second in OBP (2 points shy of Flores) and runs (5 behind Luke Yoder) and was 4th in hits (56), tied for 10th in doubles (13), 5th in steals, tied for 5th in RBI (30) and tied for fourth in total bases (87). He joined Flores and Geancarlo Mendez as the GCL All-Star outfielders and took home the league MVP.
In 2011, Oduber split time between the Suns (.301/.361/.407 in 56 G, 22 SB, 2 CS) and GCL Nationals (6 for 12, 2 2B). The Aruban flyhawk faded to .252/.288/.383 with the 2012 Potomac Nationals, stealing 14 bases in 17 tries. He then joined the Dutch national team for the 2013 World Baseball Classic. In the minor leagues in 2013, he hit .234/.291/.340 with 14 stolen bases in 107 games split between Potomac and the Harrisburg Senators.
