Infielder Ramon Henderson spent eight seasons playing in the Philadelphia Phillies minor league system (1982-1989).
He began his post-playing career as a coach with the co-op Princeton Patriots in 1990. He was a coach for the Clearwater Phillies (1991-1992) and managed the Martinsville Phillies from 1993 to 1996. In 1997 he was a coach for the Reading Phillies. Since 1998, he has been the Philadelphia Phillies bullpen coach. He is currently the longest tenured coach in the National League East.
Henderson accompanied Bobby Abreu and Ryan Howard to the 2005 and 2006 All-Star Games. With Henderson pitching, each of these players won the Century 21 Home Run Derby championship.
