[edit] Biographical Information
Outfielder Ralph Rowe signed with the Cleveland Indians in 1942, playing for the Thomasville Tommies. He missed the 1943-1945 seasons due to military service, then was on the Wilkes-Barre Barons in 1946, but did not play. His playing career continued until 1958, when he became a manager in the Washington Senators chain, making limited appearances as a player through 1961.
He was a manager from 1959 to 1970, rising from the Pioneer League in 1959 to the AAA Pacific Coast League in 1971.
Rowe then was a Minnesota Twins coach from 1972 to 1975 and a Baltimore Orioles coach from 1981 to 1984.
