[edit] Biographical Information

Ralph McLaurin was the first player born in Florida to break into the major leagues. He was a left fielder, and the regular left fielder on the 1908 St. Louis Cardinals that year was Joe Delahanty, who was 32 years old.

The book "Florida's First Big League Baseball Players" mentions McLaurin, but mostly focuses on other Floridians.
