Rags Faircloth pitched a couple innings for the 1919 Phillies, where he was a couple years younger than teammate Eppa Rixey.
He was at Mississippi State University from 1911-12.
He played on the Great Lakes Naval Air Station team in 1918, along with a number of former and future major leaguers including George Halas and Red Faber.
His obituary in the Westfield (NJ) Leader issue of October 15, 1953 indicates that he lived for years in New Jersey before moving to Arizona. Faircloth was said to have played in the Knickerbocker League. He retired from baseball due to an arm injury, became an engineer with Westinghouse, and also did some scouting for the St. Louis Browns.
