- Bats Right, Throws Right
- Height 6' 3", Weight 164-200 lb.
- Born January 14, 1966 in Cartagena Colombia
Rafael Rojano pitched in the minor leagues in 1995. He split the year between two New York Yankees affiliates, the Greensboro Bats (Sv, 6.58 in 19 G, 38 K in 26 IP) and the Tampa Yankees (0-2, 6.23 in 3 G). His birthyear at that time was listed as 1971 but later adjusted to 1966. Still, it was odd for a 24-year-old to make his debut in the minors. He later pitched in the Nicaraguan and Colombian leagues.
Rojano pitched for Colombia in the 2005 Baseball World Cup, going 0-2 with a 9.72 ERA and allowing 15 hits in 8 1/3 innings. He took losses against Japan and Spain. He got Colombia's only win in five games in the 2006 Americas qualifier for the 2008 Olympics, going 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA. In the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games, hosted by his homeland, he allowed three hits and one run in 7 innings, earning a win.
In the 2007 Israel Baseball League, the 41-year-old pitched for the Netanya Tigers. He went 4-3 with a 6.32 ERA that season.
