In 1992, the Quad City Angels of the Midwest League became known as the Quad City River Bandits. For the 2004 season, the team changed its name to the Swing of the Quad Cities. Following the 2007 season, the club became the Quad Cities River Bandits.
The River Bandits play their home games in Davenport, Iowa at Modern Woodmen Park (formerly John O'Donnell Stadium), where Midwest League baseball has been played since 1960.
