Q.V. Lowe was an All-American in 1967 at Auburn University and was drafted in the 19th round of the 1967 amateur draft by the Chicago Cubs. He pitched for the Lodi Crushers in 1967 and the Midland Cubs in 1968-1971.
Lowe was a Chicago Cubs coach in 1972 and a minor league manager.
