Puchy Delgado was signed by the Boston Red Sox as an amateur free agent in 1973 and came to the majors for thirteen games with the 1977 Mariners.
He stole 49 bases with San Jose in 1978.
He was the first player with the last name Delgado to break into the majors.
He played for the Santurce Crabbers of the Puerto Rico Winter Baseball League.
