Providence is the capital and largest city in the state of Rhode Island, even though the local minor league has lately played in the nearby city of Pawtucket, RI. Providence is located at the mouth of the Providence River where it flows into Narragasett Bay in the eastern part of the state, 15 miles northwest of Fall River, MA.
