Ballpark CaliMax Stadium 2005-present

Founded in 2004 as the Tijuana Toros, this Mexican League team made a strong debut, drawing a minor-league-high 12,000 fans per game that year. In 2005 they changed their name to the Potros and performed very well, making the North Division finals before losing in 7 games to Saltillo. An earlier incarnation of the team played in southwestern leagues in the 1950s as the Tijuana Colts and/or Tijuana Potros.
