In 1957 the Port Arthur Sea Hawks of the Big State League changed their name to the Port Arthur Redlegs. The team from Port Arthur, TX did not survive long with that identity, as on May 30 they surrendered their franchise to Temple, TX and then became the Temple Redlegs. The Cincinnati Redlegs farm team had no top prospects and was managed by Al Barillari.
