Polly McLarry had a cup of coffee in the majors with the 1912 Chicago White Sox, appearing in two games. He was back in the majors in 1915, across town with the Chicago Cubs, for whom he hit .197 in 68 games.
Afterwards, he returned to the minors and won the International League batting crown in 1918, when he hit .385 for the Binghamton Bingoes. He was with the Memphis Chicks from 1920 to 1922 and led the Southern Association with 135 RBIs in 1921.
In 18 seasons in the minors, he hit .317 with 2,723 hits in 2,440 games.
