[edit] Team History
The Pittsfield Colonials replaced the American Defenders of New Hampshire in the Canadian-American Association for the 2010 season, playing in Pittsfield, MA's historic Wahconah Park. Brian Daubach, who had managed the Defenders in their only season in the league, became the team's first manager. Daubach had great success in guiding what was expected to be the circuit's weakest team to the championship finals and was rewarded with an offer to manage in the Washington Nationals organization. Jamie Keefe replaced him as skipper in 2011. The team stopped its activities after that season, in spite of its on-field success.
The team's uniforms, in red, white and blue, were modelled on early 1900 uniforms in design, with prominent collars, well-defined lapels, and socks worn high on the calf, for a very striking look that went well with the classic ballpark.
