The Phillies have two World Series championships, in 1980 and 2008.
The Phillies are owned by a large ownership group led by Bill Giles and team president David Montgomery. The team has played in Citizens Bank Park since 2004 and is managed by Charlie Manuel.
On July 15, 2007, the Phillies lost their 10,000th game. They were the first professional sports team to have dropped so many and were 319 ahead of the next club, the Braves. Philadelphia had won 8,810 games.
