Philip Gajzler debuted in the Swedish Elitserien in 1998 with the Sundbyberg Heat. In the 1999 European Championship, he was 0 for 5 with three walks for the Swedish national team. During the 2001 European Championship, he batted .200/.375/.240 with 7 walks in 7 games, fielding .893. He tied for 7th in the Euros in walks with Claudio Liverziani, Dirk van 't Klooster and Andrei Selivanov.

In the 2003 Elitserien (the first campaign for which stats are presently available online), Gazjler batted .404/.468/.642. In the 2003 European Championship, Gajzler hit .258/.324/.290 for the Swedish club.

For the 2004 Sundbyberg club, Philip hit .311/.388/.511. In '05, he produced at a .333/.392/.492 rate. Philip made two errors in 15 chances in right field in the 2005 Baseball World Cup; at the plate, he was 2 for 13.

Gajzler's batting line in 2006 for the Heat was .360/.451/.586; he fielded just .865 at third base, his main position. He was third in the circuit in slugging behind Magnus Pilegård and Will Rikard. He drove in 50 runs in 133 AB, easily leading the league by 14 over Rikard. His six home runs were double runner-up Christoffer Johansson's total.

In 2007, Gajzler hit .342/.460/.429 for Sundbyberg. His 37 RBI were second in the circuit. In the 2007 European Championship, the 26-year-old hit .235/.316/.235 for the Swedes. In the 2008 Elitserien, he produced at a .371/.458/.644 rate with 14 doubles and 5 home runs (tied for third in circuit clouts).
