Phil Warren has played and managed in the independent leagues. He hit .313 in 4 seasons as Southeast Missouri State University. He batted .343 and slugged .700 as a senior. Warren spent 1999-2005 in the Frontier League, once bopping 23 home runs in a season. He retired ranking 2nd all-time in the FL in hits (420), third in games (387), 4th in RBI (251) and tied for 5th in home runs (54). In 2006, he was Director of Player Personnel for the Gateway Grizzlies. He replaced Danny Cox as manager in 2007.
