Phil Meeler appeared in 7 games for the 1972 Detroit Tigers. He was the same age as teammate Lerrin LaGrow. Meeler played in the minors from 1967-75, pitching for Statesville in 1967, and appearing in 1972 and 1973 with the Toledo Mud Hens.
