[edit] Biographical Information

Pete Laforest did not speak English until after he signed with the Montreal Expos in 1995. In the 2006 Americas qualifier for the 2008 Olympics, Laforest hit .323/.462/.516 with 7 walks in 9 games for Team Canada.

Laforest joined the Capitales de Québec for 2009, joining former big-leaguer Eric Gagné in the provincial capital. He's known as "Le Bombardier du Stade Municipal" (The Municipal Stadium bomber).
