Percy Wilson was a first baseman for two years in the Negro Leagues. Wilson was a pitcher in college and played for minor black teams in his native New Orleans as a first baseman for almost a decade after he finished his education.

Wilson made his debut in the top black loops in 1923 with the Milwaukee Bears. Batting second or third, he was the regular first sacker for Milwaukee. He hit a solid .314/.350/.477 and led the club in doubles (16), triples (7) and RBI (36). He tied Clarence Smith for 9th in the Negro National League in batting average. The next year, Percy followed Milwaukeee manager Pete Hill to the Baltimore Black Sox. With Baltimore, Wilson sat on the bench mostly as superstar Jud Wilson held down first. It was Percy's last season in the Negro Leagues.
