[edit] Biographical Information

Pepper Peploski got a couple games in the majors in June of 1913, when he was 22 years old. He hit .500.

At the time, the incumbent third baseman for the Detroit Tigers was George Moriarty. Moriarty, whose batting average slipped downward, would play one more year at third and then be replaced by Ossie Vitt, who would come over from second base.

Since Peploski had attended Seton Hall University from 1910-13, it is quite possible that he got his cup of coffee shortly after finishing school in the spring.
