Pedro Garcia played five seasons in the major leagues. As a rookie, he tied for the American League lead in doubles.

Although leading the league in 1973 with 32 doubles (tied with Sal Bando), the total is the lowest league-leading total in American League history.

Pedro's nickname is "Chicken".

He played for Hawaii in 1978.

He also played baseball in Puerto Rico.
