Peaches Davis was a starter and a reliever in his four years in the majors, winning 27 and saving 11.

Davis, who spent all four of his major league seasons with the Cincinnati Reds, was a 31-year-old rookie in 1936. The team won the pennant in 1939.

Davis had started pitching in the 1920s, and became a semi-pro legend in Oklahoma. He was in the minors by 1929 and his last minor league year was 1945. In 1934 he won 19 games for Fort Worth, where Rudy York was a teammate.
