Pitcher Paul Wachtel had a cup of coffee in the majors in 1917, appearing in a pair of games for the Brooklyn Robins. He spent 13 seasons in the Texas League, primarily with the Fort Worth Panthers. He won at least 20 games six times in the Texas League and is the circuit's career leader with 231 wins.
