Paul Spoljaric represented Canada at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.

As of 2009, Paul is a pitcher for the Barrie Baycats of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL). He spent the previous six season with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the same Intercounty league. In 2007 with the Maple Leafs, he had a 2.60 ERA in 12 games, with a 10-1 records over 86.2 innings pitched, seventh best in the IBL. In 2006, he was second best among pitchers in the IBL, with a 2.26 ERA in 9 games, with a 6-1 record over 59.2 innings. Posting similar numbers in 2005, he was second best among IBL pitchers, with a 2.94 ERA in 10 games, a 7-1 record over 70.1 IP. He was 8th overall in 2004 in the IBL, wil a 4.14 ERA in 11 games, 8-0 in 76.0 IP.

Spoljaric was suspended during the semifinal round of 2009 IBL playoffs, after a bench-clearing incident between the Barrie Baycats and the Toronto Maple Leafs on August 13th. Those involved were first ejected from the game, then two days later, League commissioner Jim Rooney announced there would be suspensions for the players involved.

Paul was at first suspended for the remainder of the season, but this was reduced to a six-game suspension with eligibility to return in the next round of the playoffs after an appeal. The Baycats league representative would resign his position over the severity of the suspension. ^[1]
