Paul Roof was a pitcher for four seasons in the Milwaukee Braves farm system in 1960-1961, 1963, and 1965. He had a 2-3, 6.21 record for the Eau Claire Braves in 1960, walking 34 in 42 IP. In 1961, he went 5-6 with a 3.39 ERA for the Cedar Rapids Braves.

Roof went 0-2 for the '63 Greenville Braves, allowing 9 runs in 7 innings. In 1965, he allowed 8 runs in 11 innings for the West Palm Beach Braves to conclude his career with a 7-11 record.

Paul is the brother of Gene Roof, Phil Roof, David Roof, and Adrian Roof, the cousin of Eddie Haas and minor leaguer Lou Haas, and the uncle of Shawn Roof, Eric Roof and Jonathan Roof.
