Paul Nanne pitched in the Hoofdklasse and for the Dutch national team, including in the Olympics, then became a coach. He is the brother of pitcher Tom Nanne.
Paul Nanne pitched for the Netherlands in the 1988 Baseball World Cup, going 0-1 with a 9.45 ERA. Nanne also was with the Orange for the 1989 European Championship and the 1993 European Championship. In the 1996 Olympics, he tossed 6 2/3 innings without allowing a run (facing South Korea, Australia and Italy) as the top Dutch hurler. He also backed up Eric de Bruin at first base, going 1 for 7.
Nanne became a pitching coach after his career ended and also was head coach of the Amsterdam Pirates for a spell. In 2009, he became pitching coach of the Konica Minolta Pioniers.
