[edit] Biographical Information

Paul Miller was drafted way down in the 53rd round of the 1987 draft but managed to get to the majors anyway for three seasons. He appeared in 10 games in 1991-93 and notched a win in 1992.

He was the same age as his teammate Barry Bonds.

Miller went to Carthage College, and is the only major leaguer ever to come out of Carthage (as of 2009). He was there in 1984-87, and started in the minors in the rookie league that summer, posting a 3.20 ERA.

His ERA's were mostly pretty good, so he stuck in the organization, and when he had an excellent year in 1991, he got a shot at the bigs in July, pitching five innings in one game, and giving up three earned runs. Overall in the minors in 1991, he went 12-4 with a 2.01 ERA.

Paul pitched 6 games in the majors in 1992 and 8 games in the minors. His major league ERA was 2.38.

In 1993 he pitched for Carolina and Buffalo in the minors while appearing in three games at the major league level.

He finished his minor league career with Buffalo in 1994.
