Paul Arnold was a Negro League outfielder for several years. He hit .200 in 1926 for the Hilldale Daisies and .229 a year later for the Brooklyn Royal Giants. In 1931, he batted .346 for Newark. In 1934, Arnold hit .319 for the Newark Dodgers. He followed with a .212 mark in 1935, but played in the 1935 East-West Game. When CF Martin Dihigo went in to pitch for the East, Arnold moved in to replace him in center. It put him in good position to watch the long homer Dihigo would serve up to Mule Suttles, losing the game. Arnold did not bat in the contest. He finished his career in 1936 with the Atlantic City Bacharach Giants.
