Played on the same high school baseball team as future major league pitcher Tommy Greene and played on the same high school football team as future NFL standout Chester McGlockton. Was a heavily recruited as a high school football player as well.
Lennon played the 2004 and 2005 seasons with the independent Atlantic League.
