Pat Simmons was used heavily by the 1928 Boston Red Sox as a reliever when he was 19 years old. Appearing in 31 games, he finished more games (19) than any other Red Sox pitcher. He was the third-youngest player in the league in 1928; Mel Harder was the youngest.
He played for Montreal in 1931.
