[edit] Biographical Information
Pat Bourque showed promise in the Chicago Cubs' minor league system but could never deliver on that promise. The first baseman was traded to the Oakland A's in 1973. He saw his only taste of post-season action in the 1973 ALCS and World Series. He finished his career with the Minnesota Twins in 1974 (although he was traded back to the A's following the '74 season for Dan Ford and Dennis Myers).
