[edit] Biographical Information
Fred "Pap" Williams played pro ball from 1935 to 1955. He collected 2,351 minor league hits, 431 2B, 151 HR, and 217 SB to go with his .324 minor league average. Williams led the 1949 Coastal Plain League with 122 RBI. As a 40/41 year-old in 1954, he hit .403 and led the Alabama-Florida League with 44 stolen bases.
