Catcher P. J. Carey played four seasons in the minors. He started his minor league managerial career at 26 with the Central Oregon Phillies. He has spent 13 of his 22 years in the Pioneer League or Northwest League, and only one year above A ball. However, he was a member of the Colorado Rockies coaching staff in 1997. In 2007, he joined the Los Angeles Dodgers organization as Minor League Field Coordinator.
