Outremont was an independent municipality on the Island of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, which was completely surrounded by the city of Montreal, QC. It was home to the French-speaking bourgeoisie, while Westmount, on the other side of Mount-Royal, was home to the English-speaking upper class. The city was incorporated into Montreal in 2002.
