[edit] Biographical Information
Oscar Judd was the first Canadian pitcher to make the American League All-Star Team, when he went 11-6 with a 2.90 ERA for the Boston Red Sox in 1943. He was a good hitter for a pitcher, compiling a .262 batting average and a .356 slugging percentage in 317 at bats. He went 5 for 36 as a pinch hitter, which actually brought down his batting stats quite a bit.
